Battle of the Alamo (February 23 – March 6, 1836) was a key 13-day siege at a mission in San Antonio, Texas. Roughly 180 to 250 Texian and Tejano defenders were killed by a larger Mexican army led by General Antonio López de Santa Anna. The loss inspired the rallying cry "Remember the Alamo!"
