A Tobruk bunker (officially known as a Ringstand) is a small, circular concrete bunker that was used extensively by the German military during World War II as part of the Atlantic Wall. It is named after the Libyan port city of Tobruk, where German troops first encountered similar Italian defensive positions during the Desert War.
