The 4th (King's) Regiment of Foot was a historic infantry unit of the British Army, founded in 1680, which served in several campaigns, including the American Revolutionary War and the Napoleonic Wars. It became known as the King's Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster) in 1881 and was finally amalgamated in 1959 to form the King's Own Royal Border Regiment.
