A special 5-figure set based on actual newsreel and photo images of a little ceremony that took place on Hitler’s 56th birthday on 20th April 1945 in the ruins of the Reich Chancellery garden. The Death of Fegelein

The Death of Fegelein
Hermann Fegelein’s rise to the higher echelons of the Third Reich was just as spectacular as his fall. A skilled and proficient horseman he joined the SS in 1933 and rose rapidly through the ranks. By the beginning of WW2 he commanded the SS Totenkopf’s Cavalry Regiment first in Poland in 1939 before the French Campaign in 1940. In April 1943 he was promoted to command the entire SS Cavalry Division, “Florian Geyer” before moving on, once more, to Hilter’s Headquarters Staff in Berlin as Himmler’s personal liaison officer during 1944. His marriage in June 1944 to Eva Braun’s sister Gretl further solidified his position close to the Fuhrer. Fegelein actively cultivated a kind of friendship with Martin Bormann. Jagdpanther Ausf. GI

Jagdpanther Ausf. GI
The Jadpanther (or Hunting Panther) was a German tank destroyer built on the chassis of the already successful Panther tank. It combined the powerful 88mm gun of the Tiger tank with the excellent armour and suspension of the Panther. This all-new Jagdpanther (K&C’s last version goes back to 2004) is a battle weary one from the summer of 1944 covered in “zimmerit” paste that has been “chipped-away” in combat revealing the original rust-brown undercoat applied at the factory. Although most Jagdpanthers appeared on the Eastern Front they also fought in small numbers in the Battle of Normandy. The K&C model comes with two tank-crew figures who can be seen in the open hatches. A “winter” version will be released later in the year.
